Refund policy

At Havnea, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, we are here to help.

1. Returns — General

You have [30] calendar days from the date you received your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

2. UK Customers — Statutory Cancellation Right

If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right applies regardless of the reason for cancellation. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. This statutory right is in addition to our general return policy above.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., by email to support@havnea.com). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory:

“I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: [DESCRIPTION], ordered on [DATE] / received on [DATE]. Name: [YOUR NAME]. Address: [YOUR ADDRESS]. Date: [DATE].”

3. Canadian Customers

Canadian customers may benefit from additional cancellation and return rights under applicable provincial consumer protection legislation. Where provincial law provides a longer cooling-off period or additional protections, those rights prevail.

4. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at support@havnea.com with your order number and reason for the return. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions.

Please do not send your item back without contacting us first. Items sent back without prior authorization may not be accepted.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within [5–10] business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

For UK statutory cancellations, we will reimburse you no later than 14 days after the day on which we receive the goods back, or if earlier, the day on which you provide evidence of having sent the goods back. We will reimburse you using the same means of payment that you used for the initial transaction.

6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please contact us. The fastest way to get what you want is to return the original item and place a new order.

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:
• Gift cards;
• Downloadable products;
• Opened products;

Note for UK customers: These exclusions do not affect your statutory cancellation rights, except where exceptions are permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (e.g., sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery).

8. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us at support@havnea.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

UK customers: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have additional statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. These rights may entitle you to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances and the time since purchase.

9. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please first check with your bank or credit card company. If you have done so and still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@havnea.com.

10. Return Shipping Costs

For general returns: return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect item. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for your return.

For UK statutory cancellations: you will bear the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed to bear them or we failed to inform you that you must bear them, in which case we will cover return shipping.

For Canadian and international returns: customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, customs duties, and any applicable fees unless the return is due to our error.
